    1. [NYLEWIS] Need help with Dean and Bailey
    2. I hope someone can help me. My great great grandparents were Alvin dean and his wife Lucinda Bailey. Lucinda was born in the town of Lyden cira 1822. Her parents are Clothier and Rebecca Bailey. They live somewhere around Thayer Hill. The last place I found her was the 1880 Census. Looking for when she passed away and were she is buried. All I know about Alvin is he died sometime in the 1860s. He was married once before Lucinda to a woman named Almaria. He had possibly 4 children with his first wife. The oldest, Leonard married Martha Clemens in Oseola. They had one son Richard. Leonard died in 1912, but I don't know were or were he is buried. Leonard may have remarried in 1868. I found references to a Leonard Dean in Lyden in 1870 and 1880. He was married in 1868 to Amie or Anna. They had at least 3 children. Not sure if this is the same Leonard. The age is right and his first wife died in 1866, so it could be. According to notes left to me by my grandmother, Alvin also had a son named Richard. He possibly went south. A daughter named Hanna and another son named James that may have gone out west. Alvin was sapped to have come from Lyden. I haven't found anything yet. I don't know were he is buried, or when he died. His youngest son Lewis (my great grandfather) was born June 3rd 1861. The 1870 Census shows Lucinda and her two children living with her parents. They also had a daughter named Sara born in 1853. She married into the Buck family and lived in the Forestport. She died in 1935 and is buried in Forestport . Thank You Jim L
