For those of you familiar with the Lewis County probate records at the Court House in Lowville, I am interested in knowing just where such records are kept. Are they all in one place? Also, what are the related documents? What time periods are available? If anyone has experience using the probate records, what advice can you offer for pursuing a search. As I understand it, probate searches are not especially easy if you wish to get a maximum amount of information. Is this "tricky to do" business?
