I'm searching for information on the two subject persons who probably lived in the Lowville area around 1900 +/-. Could they be the same person?? I have photographs of them that came from the estate of my great aunt, Lena (Singer) Burkhart (1890-1973) and believe they are relatives. Lena's Father was Frederick Singer and her mother was Margaret (Morse) Singer. She was raised in Greig, attended Lowville Academy, and later lived with her husband Herman Burkhart (1892-1962) on Shady Ave., Lowville for many years. He ran an auto dealership and auto repair business at that location. Photo 1 - Studio photo with "Aunt Barb Wilcox" written on the back by Lena, taken by "EM VanAken , Photographer, over No. 72 State Street, Lowville, NY". She appears to be about 20+ years old in the photo which I would guess was taken in the 1870-80 time frame. Photo 2 - Studio photo with "Belle Wilcox" written on the back by Lena, taken at the "GW Garter's Photographic Art Gallery, Lowville, NY". She appears to be about 10 years old in the photo which I would guess was taken in the 1870 or earlier time frame. Please email me if you have any information on this subject.
