Thank you Pat for your strong support for getting the Lewis County Historical Society (LCHS) transferred successfully and quickly to Lowville from Lyons Falls. In particular, the encouragement of Lewis County volunteers to help Lisa Becker get the valuable documents and books on the shelves is especially valuable. If we lived there, we would be in that group of supporters. Perhaps the LCHS could describe the situation, the types of assistants needed on a voluntary basis, and dates on its web site. When many of us go to Lowville this summer to pursue family research, we could all offer to contribute a few hours or days while there. A poster might also be placed in a prominent place in the genealogical section at the Court House for visitors to see and volunteer their help. LET'S SUPPORT THIS ACTION IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE.
