Are there online any burials in that area? Is there a cemetery that is called the Lyons Falls cemetery? Are there known to be any descendants of Jay Markham living in the area? Thanks. Surviving are nides and nephews and a half brother Clement F. Pitcher besides her son with whom she made her home for a number of years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:45 at the Dekin Funeral home, Lowville. Rev. Walter L. Bennett Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church of Lowville Officiated. The body was placed in Lowville cemetery vault until spring. NOTE: I have an Original Copy of the published Book.     2. Lowville Journal 12/25/1941 Martinsburg Mrs. Cora Alice Moore, widow of Clair J Moore, 80 passed away Sunday evening at the Robinson nursing home. She had been a patient there at the home for the last two years. Death was due to infirmities of old age. She was born in Martinsburg a daughter of the late Leonard and Alice Pitcher.(Sept. 22, 1860). Most of her life was spent in this section. After her marriage to Clair Moore they moved to a farm on the hill where she and her husband operated it until their health began to fall. Mr. Moore died in 1926. After his death she purchased a small home here in the Village. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Aid and a member of the D.A.R. She was active in all the church work as long as her health permitted. The survivors are one daughter Mrs. Lyston (Mildred) Dening, Duane of Petosky, Mich and Arthur of Watertown, two children Alice and Leonard died several year ago, one sister Mrs. Julia Harvey, a half brother Clement F. Pitcher of this place, six grandchildren, one great grandchild. The funeral will be held from the home of her daughter Mrs. Dening of Houseville Wednesday at 2:00 PM. The bearers will be Roy Damuth, Charles Payne, Otis Ingersoll, Edward Yale. Interment in the spring in the family plot at Martinsburg Cemetery.

    3. Dick, My GGGrandfather on my dads mothers side was Patrick W. McDonell (McDonald later) who is buried at the cemetery of the defunct St's Peter and Paul Cath Church near New Boston. On his tombstone is the inscription Co G 54 Regt NY Vols . I can't find anything about them on the different Civil War sites so far. Do you have any information in your reference material regarding this unit...or does anyone else have info on it? Thanks. It includes the different companies and where the men came from for each company. Not specific names, but counties where the men enlisted. It includes the battles, causalities, etc. I also have some specific information, especially relating to my Great Grandfather, who enlisted into the 14th NY Volunteers.
