(I'm in it right now) Anyway, here's the rest of my notes on Anthony: Checked NYC Municipal Archives for Affidavit for Marriage License for Bklyn, 1909 - 1912, found nothing. Checked NYC Municipal Archives for Affidavit for Marriage License for Queens, 1908 - 1912, found nothing. Checked NYC Municipal Archives for Affidavit for Marriage License for Manh, 1908 - 1912, found nothing. 1917 - Anthonys address was 2608 Atlantic Avenue in Bklyn according to his Draft Registration card. 1920 - The census lists both Mabel and Anthony as being 28, both born in NY, and they were still renting the apartment at 2608 Atlantic Ave, Bklyn., around the corner from Frederick Laun. Anthonys parents were both listed as being Italian and hers are both listed as being German. 1923 - Brooklyn Daily Eagle ad listed Sasser at 400 Lincoln Avenue. 1924 - White Pages at Bklyn Public Library listed Anthony as living at 490 Lincoln Avenue. 1926 - White Pages at Bklyn Public Library listed Anthony as living at 97-32 134th Avenue in Queens. 1927 - When Frederick Laun died on Aug 16th, his address was listed as 97-32 134th Avenue in Queens. The informant on his death cert was listed as his daughter, Mabel. No proof has yet been found of a daughter of Fredericks named Mabel, other than this death cert. On Aug 19th, the date of Fredericks burial, the plot in Evergreen Cemetery was deeded to Anthony and Mabel. At that time there were already three other Launs buried there. The address given for Anthony and Mabel on that cemetery document was 1765 Walton Avenue, Bronx, NY. 1930 - The census listed Anthony and Mabel now living at 97-32 134th Avenue in Ozone Park. They owned the house and it was worth $7500. As in 1920, his parents were listed as being Italian and hers as German. He is also listed as not being a veteran. It indicated they were married when they were 18 years old, or approx 1910. The 1933-34 Polk's Directory for the Borough of Queens has Anthony and Mabel listed, but under a variant spelling: SASSA Anthony (Mabel) engr, h 97-32 134th Av, Ozone Park. 1937 - An item in the NY Times listed a Kings County judgement against Mabel L. and Anthony Sasser who owed the Springfield Gardens Nat'l Bank of N.Y. $105.05. Notice was in the Jun 29 paper on page 38. The same judgement was printed in the Brooklyn Eagle on June 30th and gave their address as 490 Lincoln Avenue, their 1924 address? 1940 Census - 1942 - Unable to find a WW II Draft Registration card on Ancestry.com 1948 - No death records found for NYC prior to 1948 using "sounds like" SASSER, Anthony. 2004 - The Interment list for Evergreen Cemetery, where Frederick is buried, shows that neither Anthony nor Mable are buried there even though there are still 5 available spaces. 2008 - Searched first 1000 records on Ancestry.com for 1900 census for Anthony Sasser, born Bklyn NY 1892. No results or any surname remotely possible. 2009 - Had marriage records from Elkton MD searched from 1896 to 1916 and found no Anthony Sasser listed. Did this in case they eloped to Elkton to get married. 2010 - Had only remaining LIRR records checked for Anthony Sasser and no record was found. Also searched all 3,136 1910 Census records on Ancestry using info for Anthony Sasser. Nothing jumped out. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
