My aunt and grandparents told me that he was a hansom cab driver in the Central Park area for a private family and the Census information confirms that. 1910 Census has them living at 233 West 120th street in Manhattan Ward 12. He did not make it to the 1920 Census as he died in 1917. However his death certificate has them living at 203 W 67th in Manhattan at that time.
