Constantine and Helen. In the 1905 state census, the premises are occupied by 2 families. One is your Robert Mehl (spelled Mahl in 1905) who is listed as book binder rather than a sexton. He is living at that address with his wife and 3 children. The other family is that of Bernard Phillips, a coachman, who is living at the address with his 2 children. =========================== In the 1900 US census, there are 3 households at that address: Mehl, here listed as a sexton with wife and 5 children Phillips, a widowed coachman and his 2 children Louisa Lauber, a 66 year old widow By 1910, 2 new families are in residence: Charles Hague, a machinist, his wife and 5 children Louis Sipe, a cigar maker, and his wife ============================ Additionally, the history of Sts. Constantine and Helen refers to their acquisition of the property at 64 Schermerhorn, rather than indicating that they bought the building of an existing church. ============================ Who is your great grandmother and the details of her manifest? What are you actually trying to establish or learn? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
