Something in my gut tells me that my Grandfather, Edward J Burns ended up in a home. He was born in NY, Brooklyn, in 1856.Married a Margaret Burns..her last name was Murphy..they were married in 1888.it's tough because of the commonality of their names. I don't know his year of death. His last child (of nine)was born in 1902, that was my father Charles..I know Charles had to quit school around 1912 to help support the mom..they lived in Williamsburg Brooklyn .
