Everyone has offferred great help, at least I have something to search! I have their names on the passenger list to New York 1853. They sailed from Greenock Scotland on board the 3 masted barque , Marchioness of Clydesdale landing in New York on 17th June 1853. I found their marriage date and place on a birth registration of one of their children who was born on their return to Scotland and it says 29th June 1853 Brooklyn. They would be Church of Scotland I would think, however I know some baptisms in the family took place in the Presbyterian Church. Again, on later censuses back in Linlithgow Scotland it gives the birth of 4 of their daughters being born in the USA. Two of whom state "Vermont" USA. I have much to scroll through with all these links which everyone has so kindly offerred. THANK YOU! PS: I got a bit side tracked reading the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper for 29th June 1853!
