Below is a link to an 1850-51 Brooklyn Directory list of churches as well as a link to an 1859 Brooklyn Directory listing churches. http://www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/Directory/1850/church.html http://www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/Directory/1859/church.html This link will take you to more info on Houses of Worship (same site) http://www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/Worship/index.html The LDS did film some church records for Brooklyn so you may want to browse this list from the LDS site to see if you are interested in any of the films. http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=topicdetails&subject=364512&subject_disp=New York, Kings, Brooklyn - Church records&columns=*,0,0 If you are interested and can determine where the family was living in 1855, the LDS did film the 1855 NY State census for Brooklyn. http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=titlefilmnotes&columns=*,0,0&titleno=750117&disp=New York state census, Kings County, There is also an online newspaper, the Brooklyn Eagle, that you could try to browse to see if there is any mention of the marriage or births. I tried only briefly to look for the marriage but did not find it. Maybe you will although it seems unlikely since they were only here for 12 days before getting married. http://eagle.brooklynpubliclibrary.org/Default/Skins/BEagle/Client.asp?Skin=BEagle Good luck in your search.
