In 1917/1918, the business was at 65 Ainslie Street in Brooklyn. (At least that much was clear!) >From what I can read, the employer's name looks something like "J. McLean Schlakas" (my spelling could be off). My great-grandfather was a tailor. A Google search didn't help me come up with any possibilities, so I'm wondering if anyone here would have any hints for me on how I might find out what this company was called... were there business licenses back then? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Amanda Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
