    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: ziggysprints1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.kings/15435.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Here is the information from Thomas McGlenn's death certificate, Brooklyn number 5968: Thomas McGlenn, age 57 years, carpenter, born in Ireland, resident of US and NY City 56 years. Died at home 432 Dekalb Avenue April 17, 1890. Parents born in Ireland. (Maddeningly the Brooklyn certificates in that era did not ask for parents names!) Cause of death= carcinoma of stomach with cirrhosis of the liver and asthemia. Buried at Holy Cross Cemetery April 20th. This is the only Thomas that fits his information from the 1880 census. These indexes are time-consuming to use so I did not search for death of Lucy. First call the cemetery and get the exact location of Thomas's grave and send it to me. Here is the information from the marriage certificate of his son William. Brooklyn marriages, 1899, number 2239: Groom= William F. McGlenn, 289 Grand Avenue, age 34, born in Brooklyn. Father= Thomas Mother= Lucy Donohue Bride= Rose J. White, 3425 Franklin Avenue, age 33, born in Brooklyn. Father= Edward Mother= Elizabeth McLoughlin. Maried April 20, 1899. Witnesses= Frank White and Elizabeth Mulligan. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
