You can E-mail the Brooklyn Public Library. Use the "Ask a Librarian" feature, submit your query, they have records they call the "morgue file", obits and death notices that appeared in Brooklyn newspapers. They will check to see if they have anything on that person and then for a few dollars they will mail to you a copy of whatever they have.
