Apparently Dudley Terrett was quite wealthy, or at least he was in 1850 when his real estate was valued at $20,000 and his personal estate at $10,000 (1860 census, New York Co, ward 9, dist. 3) The family at this time consisted of Sara (30), Miflin (9), Julia (8), Harriet (6), Louisa (5), Dudley (3), Charles (1), Harriet Washburn (60) and a servant girl.
