The County Clerk's records are no longer behind the counter they are in cabinets available to people using the Microflm readers. Also they are not all indexed the same way, so it might take a little time to find what you want. If you cannot get to the Archives you might be able to find the films through the Latter Day Saints. Since you are talking about more than one year you might find it preferable to look yourself. I am not sure if the county clerk's still search for records, but you have little to lose by writing the Kings County Clerk.
