I have no Gazleys in my tree and have no clue why they are buried together. My grandmother is Sarah D Shepherd (1806-1876), emigrated from England. Family lore says she was a nurse. Do not know if she arrived in US as a widow. Has 4 children, William definely born in England 1839, from Sarah's will she had 3 daughters Anna (married a Harned living in NJ in 1876) Elizabeth (married William P Smith living in Seattle Washington territory 1876) and Sarah R (married Wm Bowker was in SanFrancisco in 1876). per Greenwood Cem "the above-numbered lot was purchased by John R. Hopkins in 1861. On June 15, 1864 he conveyed the lot to Mrs. Sara D. Shepherd." So she must have got the family plot to bury Mary- it is a big lot with 13 Shepherds and Mary Gazley. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Karen Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
