In fact, a marriage certificate I sent for several weeks ended up not being who I hope it would be. In regard to the LDS getting slammed - I'm sure they are but I have to say they are doing a wonderful job of responding to request. I faxed one request 3 weeks ago and emailed a request (2 certificates) two days later. I received both in 7 to 10 days. I'm sure Family History Library has scheduled additional volunteers to work.
