I've got his service record from the NYPD; it tells me he was in the Herald Square precinct (that would have to have been after the merger). I have a prayer book of his that says he was in the 15th precinct in Brooklyn before the merger. Can anyone help with information about the old Brooklyn police? The NYPD museum didn't have a lot when I visited there last year (and, of course, it's now closed because of Hurricane Sandy).
