I'm not sure if the Peter you found in the 1897 directory is my Peter or not. My Peter was a plasterer but on both the 1880 census & the 1900 census my Peter is listed living with his parents Hugh & Bridget Ward in Manhattan. So far as I know, the family didn't move from Manhattan where they were in 1880 to Brooklyn during the 1880 - 1900 census gap and then back to Manhattan in time for the 1900 census. Unless there's also a Hugh Ward who was also a plasterer listed at that 1897 addy in Brooklyn, then this Peter you found in the 1897 directory is probably just a coincidental find. There were a lot of Peter Ward"s around in metro NYC. Thanks for trying. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
