My results came from the NYC vitals posted to the Italian Genealogy Group site via the super search engine at Steve Morse One Step. What I need is for someone with access to that referenced FHL film to do a look-up in the film & see if the Peter Ward listed in that marriage had parents Hugh & Bridget Ward and if that Peter's occupation at marriage was listed as "plasterer". If it's not time critical, you mentioned the cost being prohibitive.  The LDS now has free copies via e-mail.  When you provide the same details you did in your original post, they will e-mail a copy of the certificate directly to you, free of charge.
