We suspect he is Protestant as the name in Ireland is Protestant. RUMOR has it that he married a Catholic girl and was struck from the family, and if that is true, yes he would need a dispensation to marry her. We're EXPATS to Nova Scotia, returning soon to the US, and yes, it's so darn beautiful I cry every time I think of leaving...and btw, it's WINTER!!! Summer is spectacular!
