That way you will at least know what has been checked. I'm with you that Anthony Sasser probably changed his name along the way, if for no other reason than it doesn't sound Italian. Could he have disappeared because he had a change of heart and resumed using his real name? Have you given any thought to the possibility that Mabel could be the same person as Louisa or have you ruled that out already? It looks like the last record you have of Louisa is in 1910 (age 30, single and home with parents) which is about when Mabel and Anthony married. I know Louisa is a lot older than Mabel has said she was, but if she married a (much) younger man...well, sometimes that drops years from a woman's age.
