    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: smdc201 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.kings/15470/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Searching for a Jackson family originally from Fall River MA to Brooklyn in early 1900's. Family was English and Ire/English. Father was Henry, mother was Mary and children were John, Henry James, William & Mary. I believe it was only William that moved to Brooklyn. He was born in Rhode Island in 1892. Henry James moved to Pennsgrove, NJ and lived in south Jersey the rest of his life. His sister Mary was placed in a convent but ended up in a state instutition in Wrentham, MA. Father Henry worked as a spinner in the cotton mills in Fall River and was dead before 1910. We are from the New Jersey family and would like to learn what happened to the Brooklyn Jacksons. TIA. Sandy researching: Taylor, Sherry, Steelman, Adams, Waldron, Wright, Birney Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: BobNY Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.kings/15466.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: If your great aunt was born 18 Feb 1894, then she did die in December 1977 according to the SSDI. However, there is no assurance that she died in Jamaica. SSDI lists last residence and last benefit as Jamaica, but she could have died anywhere, though Jamaica is likely. As to pointing you in the right direction, as the old saying goes, "if you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there."
