I know what Francis Skerritt looked like. Maybe someday you'll consider scanning it and posting it to a tree or else where so that others can take a look at it and maybe find someone they recognize. If you are able to visit us later in May, we'd have available staff time to put some effort into a search." That search to ID all of the lodge officers didn't happen because we already identified our relative in the photo , the effort involved to identify the rest of the members wasn't worth it. I'm sure that they can at least tell you where Cambridge lodge was and when/if it ceased to be. Good luck. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. It sounds like exactly what I need and who I need to contact to find out more about my 2nd great grandfather. 1921 would have been during the period that my 2nd great grandfather was alive and a member of Lodge #662. He had been a Master Mason since 1881 but I know nothing of his Lodge activities with respect to whether he might have been involved in the administration of the Lodge or held office. I'm assuming that your cousin learned the names for the men in his photo. Could you ask your cousin if one of the names for the men in his photo was Francis H. SKERRITT? That would have been my 2nd great grandfather and I would be interested in obtaining a scan or copy of the photo if it does contain Francis H. SKERRITT. Thanks again. Author: vansicklen1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.kings/15485.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello. A cousin of mine recently contacted: Thomas M. Savini, Director Masonic Library of Grand Lodge 71 West 23rd Street, 14th Floor New York, NY 10010 for help with identifying a 1921 Brooklyn photo showing lodge officers. He responded promptly to her inquery so perhaps he may be able to help you. I found the following bits of information from the NY Times. Cambridge Lodge No. 662 F. and A.M. of Brooklyn celebrated its 90th anniversary in 1957, abruptly stops being mentioned in the NY Times obituary sections in March 1975. No street address was ever given, the lodge number must have been sufficient. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
