I saw that death index entry, too. The problem with it is that the age of 54 years in 1947, for that Adaline Brown, is significantly off because, as seen in the census, Addie (Mailler) Brown was 52 in 1920 so she should have been about 79 in 1947. Also... the death date of Dec 5 for that Adaline Brown is quite a few days before the burial date of Saturday, Dec 27 for Addie (Mailler) Brown and... the death notice implies that Addie died at her home in Sea Cliff which, as you know, is in Nassau County. It seems to me that the Queen's County one has too many things wrong with it. Best & polite regards. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Hi, For what it's worth -- I live at the retirement center where Frank lived. I knew him only slightly. But if you are trying to contact his family? Perhaps the admistration here could put you in contact. E-mail me privately for the info. Phyllis phyllism19@aol.com

At least now you will have a date of death to give to the cemetery that you think he is interred in. I hope that you haven't found these death notices already during the time since you posted your 2007 message. The death notice below is likely for the right John Mailler because I see in the census from 1880 to 1910 that he is named as "John E." not "John H." and in the 1920 census we see that Addie V. Brown married to Clarence T. Brown was daughter to Adaline P. Mailler who was John's wife. As you can see in the two death notices, both John E. and his daughter Addie died in Sea Cliff. New York Times Dec 21, 1916; page 11 MAILLER - John E., Sea Cliff, Dec. 18, aged 79. Funeral today. New York Times Dec 26, 1947; page 15 BROWN - Addie V., at her home, 244 Littleworth Lane, Sea Cliff, widow of Clarence T. Brown. Service at the Fairchild Chapel, 141-26 Northen Boulevard, Flushing, Saturday 2 P.M. I can e-mail copies of the two death notices to you if you haven't already seen them. I have been unable to nail down a definite date. PMK was a widower with a daughter, Winifred. He passed away 2 Feb, 1942, and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn. Aunt Mae lived for many years (1940's through the 1970's) on Martense St., Brooklyn. As her health declined she moved to Lindenhurst, Long Island, NY to live with a close cousin, Agnes O'Halloran Pyle. She passed away on 11 May, 1980, in Good Samaritan Hosp, Islip, New York. I don't recall were she is buried (long Island, I believe). After checking with my 88 years young Mother, I'm sorry to say that we have no info on Tom Cuddy. Mom doesn't remember Aunt Mae ever mentioning him, and neither do I. I'll look into family info to see if I can come up with any more info. Good luck, Bill Kirnan. Would someone please explain what the following means in terms of obtaining a death cert? I don't know what a LDS Photoduplication Unit is and what the process is to obtain it . "If you find more, you can request copy of death certificate from NYC for $15 and wait a month or the LDS Phototduplication Unit for $2 each and wait 10 days." Thanks, Pat Giovanni, Sunnyvale, CA
