There's no mention of a privacy law but there are special requirements if you are not related to the deceased. If the deceased is not in your direct bloodline, "cousin" has worked for me but it's been a couple of years since I last requested records with that relationship listed. Thanks for all the replies. I do appreciate them. I just found a Henry Cornell the lawyer but he doesn't appear to be who I'm looking for. Nothing else fits. Perhaps it's a wild goosechase. I have not quit this one yet. There is no where else to look. BTW: The one I found was Henry W. Cornell son of Gov. Alonzo Cornell of NYS

These are copies of the Municipal Archives Indices. If the marriage cannot be found it is unlikely that the City has it either. That is actually useful information. I got some information from the NY Episcopal Diocese that indicates there was a Rev. Little that spent some time at Grace Episcopal Church, which is only about 6 blocks from the address you found. Looks like I might be on the right track. Thanks for you help! She was a chorus girl at the New York Theatre. I would like to correspond with anyone who might know this woman. Her parents were Alfonso and Vincenzia Caputo and they immigrated around 1890. Alfonso changed their family name from Mastrangelo to Caputo. He was incarcerated in a New York jail and was deported back to Italy in 1914. The news article called him a lunatic. Vincenzia died around 1900 in Brooklyn. Any information that you can share is appreciated. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'm trying to find out more information on my Ggrandparents. My Ggrandpa, Raymond Heingartner, was orginally from Germany and my Ggrandma, Edith Kruger/Heingartner, I do believe her family is from Germany but she maybe from Virginia. They had a few kids, Katherine (my grandmother), my Great Aunt Genie And Carl Heingartner who passed away a couple years ago, all born in the Bronx. About Raymond Heingartner - Est. DOB early 1900's. He died in 1949. My grandmother was born in 1934, and he was a Mountie Police Man in Brooklyn, NY around 1920/30-1949 when he passed. He had 3 or 4 sisters. For the life of me I can't remember their names but I do know one never married. If that helps lol About Edith Kruger-Heingartner - I don't have much info on her. Practically none. I know she had 3 sisters, Laura, Mildred(Milli) and Olga Kruger. And her parents had passed away before my Great Aunt was born.. early 1940's. My Great Uncle - Carl Heingartner passed away , leaving his children Carl "Butchy" Heingartner and Edith Adel Heingartner (her late husband had commited suicide a few years back). Butchy passed away in 2003 in Ansonia, CT and Edith Adel is supposed to be alive. Before Butchy died he had my family tree book that had been passed down from generation to generation. I WANT THAT BOOK!!!! LOL If this information is familiar please contact me I would love to hear from you. Thank you so much Brandy, Las Vegas, NV Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. It could have been Manhattan. That is where the Twomeys lived when they first came to US. Her mother (Ellen Cronin Twomey) died in 1896 and a young brother died in 1892 while they were living at 319 E. 54th St. I've checked with St. Pat's and St John the Evangelist at 348 E. 55th St. close to where they lived. No record was found. The youngest daughter lived with an aunt and uncle - John and Mary Cronin Hayes on E54th St 1900 and Park Ave 1910. The Twomey's are very perplexing - the birth certificates for the daughters that were born in the US have not been found - Gertrude, Norah and Agnes. I haven't look for the birth of her brother John.
