    1. [NYKINGS] DeBragga - NYC, Brooklyn or Queens
    2. Dee Snook
    3. My mother has mentioned that her father was possibly in the Sheriff's department during the reign of DeBragga.  I'm not even sure of the spelling or what his "reign" was.  She was born in 1913 and said she remembers this from when she was little, probably before the age of 7.  Supposedly he transferred prisoners to Sing Sing Prison.  There was a Joseph DeBragga who was a sheriff in Queens, but I don't know if he is the one.  I'm actually wondering if there are any records of those who served in these capacities in the boroughs.  She has also said that he may have worked at the Brooklyn Naval Yard.  At 92, her memory has a few faults, but I remember her talking about this many years ago.  Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated. When a person dies, a library closes. Yes, I know, the Catholic Cemeteries charge a lot for a tiny bit of information. It's a real shame but I guess lots of people are searching out their roots. 3. Virginia, Thank you very much for your assistance. No, I haven't run across the name Michael in my research. I suppose he could be distantly related. We're heavy with John, James, Thomas, and Henry. But, Wexford is the top contender for our native county in Ireland so perhaps there is a relation. Thanks again, Peggy > Bulger, Michael 12/19/1886 age 60, Wexford. Children Dennis, 1/24/1869 10 months, Daniel 12/27/1862 age 3y,1m, 0 days, Wife Eleanor 8/3/1911 age. Hope these are yours. If you call and ask them for the location of a relative, they will help you. Give them the name and suspected date of death. If you ask for any details, they will inform you that you will need to order an "internment" report which is not exactly cheap. I just paid $85 for two grave sites. They provided me with who is buried there and when they were buried. Thats it. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Sully, If you mean the book "Tombstones of the Irish Born, Cemetery of the Holy Cross. by Joseph M. Silinonte. Only tombstones that stated a place in Ireland are included. There was no Daniel Sullivan. If you do pay the fee for a transcript of a grave be sure to ask that they note if there is a tombstone. I got information for several graves in 1993, and was not smart enough to ask about a stone, I sent a ten dollar check to cover expenses and they returned it. TIMES HAVE CHANGED. The link below will take you to the New York State Wiki. Once there you can choose any of the counties. Within the county they list all of the films for that county and other link for genealogy.
