Hello Everyone   My name is Robin, I am a new lister. I am trying to track down anything relating to a family named Chappel. William P Chappel 1801 and Maria Louise Howes abt 1802, children were Eliza Jane 1823 William P 1825 Alonzo     1828 Alonzo was a notable painter George     1830 Charles  abt 1836 John H  abt 1840 My husband's 3x great grandfather Jefferson died as infant Theodore 1842  I believe him to have been in the 139th infantry in the cival war. Angelo     1845 I believe he died as infant.   I am hoping that I can find the death dates of William P Chappel and Maria Loiuse Chappel. I had found a William P and a Maria Chappel at the Greenwood cemetery in Kings, http://green-wood.com  The William P there died Mar 15 1880 and the Maria died Jul 23 1876. Unfortunately nothing else was said about them like age or whether they were man and wife. There was also a William Chappel at the Union Cemetery died 1878 age 75 lot 31, Alonzo Chappel is buried at lot 31 as well. Can anyone tell me how do I find what I am looking for? I've been trying to determine the boundaries of Eds 18 &19 in Ward 6. There doesn't seem to be enough data available to get an accurate map. Somehow ED18 fits into EDs 17 and 27. I anyone familiar? Bill.

Back in 2003 I made a very detailed transcription of a record I found in Ward 6, Ed 14; unfortunately I did not make a photocopy. My transcription included the date and all the misspellings. Recently I decided to rent same film again in order to research the whole Ward for siblings. My original finding was not there in ED 14! Is there more than one copy of this census? Is there any explanation aside from my own error? I checked the records at the LDS; I was definitely in the library on the date I recorded and the film number I rented was the same. They married Nov 23, 1906 in Kings Co. They divorced bef Oct 4, 1915. Bertha remarried to a Frank Gentles on that Oct 4 date. Niels may be my biological g-grandfather so I'm trying to get info to piece together the puzzle. I'm looking to see if the marriage are listed in any New York papers, the divorce and Bertha' remarriage. I've also been trying to find Niels and Bertha in the 1910 census but have had no luck. Bertha was b. in 1875 in Copenhagen, Denmark and Niels may have been from Denamark as well and probably around the same year for birth. Any help is appreciated.
