Do you know where the daughter is buried? She may be at the same cemetery. If you do?know the cemetery, they may be able to give you a date of death for her." A good idea from her...families are often in the same places...so if you find one person, you should contact the cemetery. I found 12 people in my family that way that I did not know about--I asked for info about one person and found 11 other people buried there who were all relatives...it filled in a lot of gaps Also, I have done a lot of research in the NY area (I am not IN NY though) so can help you find resources... You can email me at the name I post under here using AOL as my ISP...be sure to write genealogy help or something like that so I don't accidentally delete it as SPAM....I have a ton of resources I can pass on to you, but better/easier by email to do that I wish you luck...it is not easy finding needles... She is not listed at Greenwood Cemetery either although there are a LOT of folks with that last name there...I don't know if looking there might help you connect any other family "dots" http://www.green-wood.com/ On the brooklyn site I posted above (my first reply) they have lists of Brooklyn Cemeteries....If you know her probable religion, you can narrow it down even further Most cemeteries do not have on line lists, and searching them can be tedious and expensive...but it is worth a try...I'd try calling first to see what info might be available...I had great luck with Trinity Cemetery in Manhattan...they gave me info on the phone and faxed me info within minutes...so you never know until you try It is probably not going to be easy, but perhaps searching the cemeteries would be a start? You can check Vital Statistics in NY, but with no idea of even what year, that would probably get expensive. Have you tried the mormom website? www.familysearch.org The Brooklyn Eagle on line is also a bit tedious, but with a name that is not common like yours, it might not be too bad...
