    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: thedhuys Surnames: Pierno, Lemmo Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.kings/15638/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The Piernos came to the United States between 1899 and 1906 from Bonito (AV) Italy. Listed as their destination on one or more occassions was 107 Navy Street, Brooklyn. Among my grandparent's belongings was an envelop marked, "Bank Italiana, Carmine Lemmo, 107 Navy Street, Brooklyn." It included an image of a ship as well as Carmine Lemmo's picture, I would assume. In a 1902 newpaper article I found that Carmine Lemmo, a banker, had been stabbed outside of his home at 107 Navy Street. He died of his wounds. I am wondering if there are any others who have found their relatives coming from Italy to join individuals with 107 Navy Street listed as the address. Perhaps Carmine was funding their journies. 1. [NYKINGS] TAPPEN Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Frederick TAPPEN which was taken at the Duryea Studio in Brooklyn, New York. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Frederick likely in his teens at the time it was taken. In addition to his name, someone has written "deceased" on the back of the photograph. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of his family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    1. [NYKINGS] 1900 Census - Ward 4 - 460 South 5th Street
    2. Looking for Christian Matthes in 1900 Census. Have checked every Ward & District. He died at 460 South 5th Street, Brooklyn, 4th Ward according to death certificate. I have him in 1860 census 11th Ward, and 1880 19th Ward. Wondering if enumerator left out South 5th Street, or, name was misspelled in the census. Name was spelled Mattes, Mathies in census. I found 2 entries for S. 5th Street, but not my family. Would greatly appreciate your help. _Lynde126@aol.com_ (mailto:Lynde126@aol.com) **************Feeling the pinch at the grocery store?
