But they probably won't let you put a stone there until the perpetual care is settled. My cousin had the same thing at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ. He did do the deed thing, though. I wrote to Holy Cross Cemetery and asked if I could put a headstone there forhim. He was in the Civil War and fought for 4 years and he deserves a headstone. I get back this long letter about perpetual care about $4,000. and money about a footer and then I have to get an okay from the owner, whos been dead for hundred years, permission from the immediate family members who by the way are in the same burial plot. I just wanted a headstone from the US government, which is free, doesn't need a footer because they are making them longer this reason of not needing a footer and I get a long blagh,blagh. You can never get a straight answer from them anymore. I might be going in the next few weeks if you would tell me the plot and section I could see, if you could wait that long.
