Some what I see Thomas has been in Essex CCounty,Newark New Jersey and from the 1920 census no children are listed for Thomas and Rose so now from the census date and from the 1930 census they were married 10 yrs so it narrows down ,I not sure if NJ gives you a three search there, they do a year bef the year and the year after in Ny so if they do I would Jan 1919 this way they'll do Jan 1918 to Jan 1919 to Jan 1920 ..I would Jan as the search cause the 1920 census date is Jan 5 1920 Nancy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Thomas George Burrowes and Rose Lillian Roessler. I have checked both NJ and NY and cannot seem to find this info. I even send away and had no luck. They would have been married in 1920 give or take a year. My Dad and his sister were born in 1921 and 1923. I also found a marriage record for Bertha to a Hermann Barann in Queens on Nov 18 1922 marriage cert.# 2458 this is her do to a Newspaper The Daily Star on Marriage Licences and the address listed for Bertha was 1865 Madison Street which is the address in the 1920 census for her and her family Now Hermann Barann born Aug 13, 1889 died July 1963 so I checked Newspapers for death and found the Long Island Star dated July 30 1964 for Bertha Barann death also from the 1930 census Hermman and Bertha had a daughter Florence born about 1927/1928 ............... again I hope it helps you out Nancy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Bertha Roessler 61 yrs die July 18 1925 in Queens County New York ..death cert.# 3636 and William Roessler is living with his daughter Rose and Her husband BURROWES and children in New Jersey ...... Now from the SS Death Index Rose Lillian Burrowwes ...Flordia Death records has her birth and death as Oct 17 1890 died Oct 16 1974 in Orlando Flordia but Her SS Death Index has her birth and death Rose Burrowes 1 Oct 1889 Oct 1974 Orlando, Orange, Florida................................. Not too long ago, I searched the Castle Garden website to find when my Irish ancestors arrived.  I was able to find my Thomas Lyons age 9, who settled in Ossining NY, arriving on the ship "City of Cork" in 1865.  I listed all the Lyons' arriving on that ship to see who his relatives might be. I tried Castle Garden again to replicate the original information and to see if I might have missed something. Now when I enter the information, I get a message that the search request returned no results.  I even tried listing the name of the ship, the year, etc. etc.  No luck at all.  I do get a lot of information regarding how people can donate to Castle Garden. Have any of you had this problem lately?  If Castle Garden has changed anything, a lot of genealogists are going to be in trouble.  If this is true, how have any of you gotten around this glitch?  Are you able to see everybody arriving on any given ship?
