All NYC and Brooklyn. My Sarah Boyd was Sarah Sharkey b 1820s? My info is not before me! She married James Boyd and those Boyd's and the Sharkeys were in the tobacco business. I have green-wood records for Sharkeys and it lists Sarah's family. James died on the ferry between manhattan and Brooklyn. One of the best parts of genealogy is the opportunity to pass on info, so anything I have- you are welcome to it. I have photos of my Boyd's stones in green-wood. Next to the Sharkeys. Until then I didn't connect the families. Denise Plested .. San Antonio [email protected] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Trying to fill out tree. We have a Sarah and James (who are on 1860 census as Boyde), But our James is 1815 to 1899 and Sarah (who we have as Rickel) 1821-1901, and they are buried in Greenwood. So if not the ones you are looking for it could be a nephew as he had a bunch of brothers who we haven't got all info on. Do you have parents for your James? would love to compare Boyd notes Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. There was a James Boyd who was a preacher seems to have gone to Nova Scotia, back to NY back to NS who I believe is father to my James. I am trying to figure out if there are any brothers etc. Also there is Damiel Boyds in Nova Scotia that I thought might be part of this family and seeing a brooklyn grave for a Daniel makes me think there is a stronger chance of this. All the Boyds and suspected Boyds (if questionable I put in comments on profile) on my Shepherd family tree. Would love to compare Boyds notes. I missed the prior postings on the subject, but am related to some of the names in this posting so thought I'd put in my two cents. Peter McGrath was married to Catherine Victory. Their children were Loretta Vosburgh, Sr.M Theobald, Mary (christened Mary but later changed her name to Marie) Curran, Andrew, Dorothy Zangler, and Thomas.. I knew all of the above as well as Frank Curran, Marie's husband and their children Frank Jr, Regina VanSyckle, Bobby, Joe, and Catherine Benzie. I have Frank Curran's birth year as 1875, but that may not be correct. I do know that he died on September 16, 1942 and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery. I also knew Frank's sister Kitty and his other sister's daughter Marie Dixon who was married to Frank Masterson and had two children, a daughter Joan & a son..
