I actually got the base info for my tree from Find-A-Grave. It states on the memorials that they were from Benevento, Campania, Italy. I looked on a map... It's south Central Italy with the nearest metropolis being Naples to the west. I have found social security death records that match the data on Find-A-Grave and also Census records which seem to correlate to names/ages as well. There are also immigration and naturalization records which coincides with the data on the Find-A-Grave memorials. All my family is mostly from Texas (I'm a 7th generation Texan through many of my family lines). This is a change of pace researching records outside of Texas where we are apparently blessed to have most birth and death records available for free through family search.org I will have to find out where to order birth, death, and marriage records for NYC. I did have one of my own ancestors come into America through NYC: Martin Joseph Fahey from Gallway Ireland. I think he came right before the Civil War and then came south after the civil war....but I digress.... It seems none of the other family trees on Ancestry with the Maddaloni names have information beyond the immigration from Italy (Antonio Maddaloni b. 1844) either. Anyway, thanks for all your help! I'm doing research on my husband's family tree. His grandfather was Anthony Maddaloni born in Manhahattan in 1908 and he had a twin brother named Louis who died as an infant. He died in 1964 in Brooklyn. His father was Gaetano Maddaloni b. 1881 in Italy but immigrated with his father Antonio Maddaloni in 1886 to NYC. THis is as far back as I can trace the line. If you go to Www.fultonhistory.com and search "anna schorn" Anna and Eliza Vobis are listed as sisters of Rosa Lenhard. (At this point no indication that any of these sisters are Buselmeier) If you go to http://www.germangenealogygroup.com/ and search the brides index for Buselmeier (this appears to be the correct spelling) you'll find Eliza married to married to Henry Vobis. You may want to order the certificate to see the parents names. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have their marriage certificate noting this. Most of my ancestors were Episcopal and this came as a surprise to see they were married by a Baptist minister. Anyone have an idea as to where I can locate any additional records this church may have on my family? Thanks in advance.
