My notebook has been donated to the Genealogy Dept., Flower Memorial Library, 229 Washington St., Watertown, NY 13601. The Claflin book had Edwin's birth as September 25, 1856. Re Jefferson County Claflins, Amos Claflin was the first to arrive in Adams about 1802 and then removed to Lorraine. My record shows Addie as wife of Edwin Delancy Claflin. I did not have a maiden name for her. The 1880 Ellisburg census indicated she was b. abt. 1856. I will send a copy of Edwin's obituary to the genealogy dept. for insertion in my notebook. I was not able to find the Claflin book online via Heritage Quest that I have access to. However, if you go to www.google.com and enter Claflin Genealogy there is one hit which will take you to the book, which appears to be via www.familytreemaker.com. It is not easy to use for research.
