I have checked the Cape Vincent Cemetery index and he is not there, although he was from Kingston, Ontario, and may have been buried in Kingston. In 1870, John James was living with his brother Stephen in Omaha, Nebraska, as follows: "Robinson, James, age 32, male, white, carpenter, personal estate $100, born Canada" In the 1851 and 1861 Canada censuses, he is called "John J." and "John James." In the 1890 Directory of Cape Vincent Town, there is a James Robinson, farmer. John James Robinson was born in Kingston Township, Frontenac County, Ontario, 1837 - 1838, to Henry Robinson and Catherine McMahon. Thank you for any tips and direction.
