Author: dknowlton30 Surnames: Gerow , gero Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.jefferson/12776/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My name is Harry R Gerow III Im looking for any info on my great great great grand father William Gerow he was born around 1844 in new york (may have been born in Canada and did not know) he lists his mother and father from Canada in the 1880 census and I would like to know what there names were, 1880 census shows he lived With his wife Juila (maiden name unknown)and 5 children William - Delia - Henry - Benjamin and Virgina in Wilna,Jefferson Co. new york, in the 1870 census is shows them in Lowville, Lewis, New York with the last name Gero(NOTE SPELLING)and Henry listed as Gilbert. I do know that young William and possibly Benjamin moved to Munising Michigan the 1910 census shows William Gerow born in NY 1863 died 1921 and Wife Josephine (maiden name unknown)born 1865 in Canada died 1951 with son Charles (My Grand Father)and Benjamin Gerow born in NY 1874 (possibly Williams brother) as a border in the Shoblarke household in Munising Michigan William Josephine and Charles ar! e buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Munising, Mi the family did not keep good records and my Father only remembers being told when he was younger that our family came from New York If anyone can help me please Email me at n8ytv.net@gmail.com Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
