Author: ralphnye Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.jefferson/12804.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: According to usually reliable sources, John Beavers was a son of Harmon Beavers and Martha Miller. Harmon Beavers was born 22 February 1807 in New Jersey and died 3 April 1881 in Sennett, Cayuga County, New York. Martha Miller was born in 1811 and died 28 October 1888 in Sennett. Both are buried in Soule Cemetery, Cayuga County. This family was for the most part located in Cayuga County. Ralph Beavers and his sister Martha (Mattie) seem to be the only ones to have located in Jefferson County. Ralph and his wife are buried in Black River Cemetery, Town of Rutland. Mattie married Adelbert Cosselman. They are buried along with some other family menbers in the North Watertown Cemetery. Sources for this information are ancestry.com, LDS Family Search and Old Fulton Post Cards. These sites are easily accessed and have good search capabilities. There are earlier generations of Beavers and Millers shown. Keep in mind that all information obtained in this way should be verified for a! ccuracy whenever possible. I am not related to any of these people. I was a long time resident of Lewis and Jefferson Counties and monitor message boards, offering help when I am able. Good luck on your endeavors.
