I am trying to trace my Grandfather and Grandmother, Fabian and Elizabeth Stanford. I thought I might be able to track down information on a deed that would give me information on Elizabeth's parents. I have her last name as Sweeny and Sweenie (one spelling on the Social Security Application of one of their sons, and the other on the gravestone - per Bartlett's). My information shows that Elizabeth was about 13 when they married, so I also thought I would check out what documents would have been needed for her to marry at that age. The 1920 Census shows them owning a farm on Maple Street Road in Leraysville and it looks like the number 40 (plot number?) is listed for them. When did Fort Drum buy that area?
