Hi, I've just joined the list. I'm researching the HALL family of Hounsfield. Ira Hall, b. 1800 in Madison Co., moved to Jeff Co. in 1827 with his wife Sophia Foote/Fort. They had a son Joel Hall. Sophia died young and he remarried to Mandana SWIFT. They had several children -- Ira Jr., Hiram, Edwin, Sophia, Samuel, Ella, and Winfield -- and lived on the farm at Stowells Corners (Hounsfield) until they died of old age. Ira Hall's mother I believe was Anna IVES (m. Samuel HALL). I would like to tie her into the IVES of Jefferson County. I found a sketch about Willard IVES and his father Titus IVES of Jefferson County, but can't show their relation. Can anyone connect to this family? 1.
