Perhaps he can help you. Don Lester Neither Robert Wagoner (Sr or Jr) at Dingman Point can help you. Both (and I speak from a lifetime of experience) will refer you to me, the family authority. Though Dingman Point is a recognized locality at this date, the Dingman family never owned the point. If you will research the deeds, you will find the Wagoner family owned the point, and sold it off to pay for a lawsuit. As the Wagoner family historian, I can assure you your Canadian family was never connected with Dingman Point. The Dingman farm was pioneered by Jared Dingman in the early 1800s, and he probably came from the Mohawk Valley, not from Canada. Other Dingman families are scattered throughout Jefferson County who might be related, and whose origins I do not know. My father knew the Dingman family as his next door neighbors, and even knew old Jared Dingman in Jared's last days.
