Dear Cheryl; I just got back on as my computer was down. My gggrandfather was George S. Barnett and was born ca1809-1813 in St. Lawrence Co., New york. He is buried in Hermon, New York in Marshille Cemetery. His father is Cpt John P. Barnett and his mother was Abigail Rhodes. He married Sarah Ann (Sally) Allen. (she is suppose to be related to the Ethan Allen) b. 21 Jun 1813 in Pamelia, new York. (we have St. Law. Co. - is this too far away?? to be St. Law. Co....What co..is it Jefferson???) George died on 21 Feb 1850 at a young age. He is buried in Marshville Cem. l/2 mile south of Hermon New York. We would love to know what he died from. He was only 40+ yrs old. He is buried behind Charles Allen who died very young. We think this may be Sarah's brother. George and Sarah were married abt 1830 (in Jefferson Co.? or St. Law.?) She was only 16!!!! We don't know very much about her, but think her father was Edmund Allen (according to who lived together from the census's) and Elizabeth (Betsy) Caroline Woodworth was her mother. I would very much appreciate any thing you might be able to do to help me with this puzzle . I wish I could come to your area and spend a week. But my husband has cancer and will be undergoing bladder replacement surgery after the first of the year, so we have our work cut out for us now. Genealogy does help me keep from dwelling on it and then I don't race to the future ....Thanks for your message... Have a Merry Christmas.... Mary Lou Barnett Klemm
