Actually, I've friends that run milk trucks in all of Jefferson County. I can find out the place names. In Lewis and Jefferson, and Oswego counties. For instance. Place named Pinkney Corners isn't on any map..it's in Lewis county in the town of Barnes Corners. Wardwell Settlement is in Ellisburg NY between Peirpont Mannor-Belleville-And adams. Ikie's Crossing is also in Ellisburg..inbetween two towns. Moonie Gulf is between Mannsville and Adams in the hills. Here's a link on the Jefferson County pages with a partial list..but some of the names are just known by locals. http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyjeffer/ Leona MacDonald leona@solaseireann.com Solas Eireann http://www.solaseireann.com owned by: Traditional Irish Culture Limited c/o 168 Walkinstown Road Dublin 12 ----- Original Message ----- From: Nancy Dixon <nandixon@gisco.net> To: <NYJEFFER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, September 04, 1999 6:25 AM Subject: [NYJEFFER-L] Names of hamlets > Terri Bright has asked for the location of Lyon Corner possibly in the > Town of Adams.
