Hi listmembers -- I compiled this list of website/maillist urls for Jefferson County, NY to assist another researcher who was new to the www. Others might benefit from this information as well... so here it is. [N.B.: This list excludes "personal" JeffCo county homepages that focus on one individual's families or surnames] No slight is intended to the many other NY counties that no doubt have similar maillists and website homepages -- nor to any personal JeffCo sites not in this listing. There are several Jefferson County (aka JeffCo) lists to chose from. None are very active, so I subscribe to all of them (see #1, 2, 3 listed below). I also have queries posted on the other JeffCo sites that do NOT have maillists (see #3, 4, 5 listed below). #3 is an exception -- it has both. It also has the greatest amount of JeffCo data online plus a large # of relevant related links. N.B.
