Good work, Mark, on the Jewettsville School. Most people probably never heard of the community called Jewettsville in Jefferson County, N. Y. -- but thanks for proving to us that there is one. Now....if someone can help me out with verification that there was a community called Lodi Hill, I'll be happy. Maybe I'm dreaming, but I thought there was a school (wood frame bldg.) there -- in the Town of Hounsfield, just as one goes across the river into Dexter. And.....I was thinking just the other day about a school (wood frame bldg.) on Paddy Hill....that would be the Town of Hounsfield, also, wouldn't it? I think I remember where it was....at the end of the so-called community of Paddy Hill, on the left before heading out toward Watertown. I have a feeling it was where the gas station is now located.
