    1. Ogden St. - Sackets

    3. Mark, in the following paragraph did you really mean "1864?" I have been trying to remember where Ogden St. was in Sackets, because I swore there was one back in the 1950's when we used to trudge along those streets with the band. Is it about two blocks from Main Street toward Watertown -- kind of a fork in the road there -- vere toward the lake and one goes into Madison Barracks and sort of vere toward the right around the bend and one goes out on the road to Route 3. Used to be a tiny, all stone house there at the juncture. So, I'm sure there was an Ogden St. there in 1954. Here's the paragraph: It is interesting to note that the street that forms the western boundary of Elisha Camp's old property today in Sackets was once called Ogden St. at least as recent as 1864, and the name was later changed to "General Smith Drive" which it remains today. Just my 2 cents.....but I can't jog my memory enough to help anybody. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~twigs2000/
