Hi, I'm searching for the children of Alexander MONTGOMERY who was B. abt. 1769 in County Atrium, Ireland. He and wife, possibly Mary GODEY, (their marriage is listed in the IGI), came to America abt. 1833. The family say that the father died on the ship coming to America and that they settled in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. That is if I am right in assuming that this is the family of my g grandmother, Ann MONTGOMERY Baptized 28 Jan 1816 in County Atrium, Ireland. She married Christopher ALTON (was ALLTIMES before he came to U.S. in 1829 from County Limerick, Ireland). Other children of Alexander MONTGOMERY were Elizth - Chr. 1799, Ann - Chr. 1799, Jn Alex - Chr. 1804, David - Chr. 1809, James - Chr. 1812, Wm. - Chr. 1821. All Christenings are said to have come from Proni Carnmoney Parish Christenings. This information was submitted to the IGI by Ronald D. Coleman or Monrovia, CA in 1976 & 1977. I have not contacted him as it's been so long I don't think I could find him. I can't find the christenings listed as being filmed by the L.D.S. Church. Can anyone connect to this family?
