    1. [NYJEFFERSON] RE: SEVEY & SABOR (SABORIS)
    2. In an attempt to research my SEVEY families, after the death of my Grandfather's brother, Silas A. Sevey,( who died sometime between 1902 and 1904, and I have been unable as yet to find his exact date and place of death or burial), his wife, Hattie Bartlett Sevey, married Napolian SABORIS (SABER) on 24 Dec. 1904. I found this family, Hattie Sevey and Napoleon Saboris (Saber) in the 1905 & 1910 census records in the Town of Clifton, St. Lawrence Co., New York , listed with the three Sevey children; Eric E., born 23 Dec. 1896; Vernon S., born 20 Sep. 1900 and Gladdis (Gladys) born 07 Oct 1902, all born in Sevey, St. Lawrence Co., NY. In an obituary of Eric E. Sevey, who died in Watertown on 27 March 1969, it states "he moved with his family to Carthage at the age of 9, and attended schools there." If this information is true, then the family would have been there about 1905-after the census in Clifton? between 1905 and 1910?? Eric was married in Philadelphia in Jan. 1918 and apparently spent most of his life in Watertown. I have found Eric and Vernon, both to their marriages and deaths. I have been unable to trace Gladdis (Gladys) Sevey. Have only her birth record; listed in 1905 census at age two; and the one in Clifton of 24 April 1910, listed as age seven. I would be interested if there is any information in the Carthage area regarding Gladys Sevey and her mother, Hattie Bartlett Sevey SABORIS (SABER). Eric's obit lists survivors as his wife, daughter, a brother, Vernon, a half-brother, Kenneth Saber, of 708 State St. and nieces and nephews. Vernon who died in Syracuse in Feb. 1978 did have one daughter. Children of his sister, Gladys??, married and lived in Carthage? Realize this may be a little mixed up, but would appreciate any information re this family that is in the Carthage area. Thank you for any assistance anyone can provide, or advice as to where I might write for same. Eleanor Sevey Goodrich, Florida
