    3. Hello Fellow Researchers, Can anybody give me a hand on the following: I'm trying to track down additional detail on a Henry Casler who was born c:1778 and supposedly lived in atleast Watertown and Turin during his lifetime. He married Marigrit (Mary) Dingman, reportedly had seven children, was a native of New York and fought in the War of 1812 and died between 1830 and 1850. My hope was to try to track down some info that would help from his military stint. To date I have found three references to the name Henry Casler in the War 1812 records. What I'm hoping is someone out there will know something about any of these Henry's that might eliminated them from my search (or firm up which one is mine). I've found: 1. Henry Casler, sergeant, that served in Capt. Darius Hawkins' Company, Bellinger's Regiment from May 11, 1812 through Aug 25, 1812. 2. Henry Casler, private, that served in Capt. Jasper Wood's Company, 14 Regiment (Stone's) from July 20, 1812 through Sep 3, 1812 when he enlisted in the rifle corps and was a substitute for David Bender(?), and 3. Henry Casler, private, that served in Capt. Benjamin Rudd's Company, Cleveland's Regiment from Aug 22, 1814 through Nov 16, 1814. If anyone can claim any of these Henry Casler's and/or give me more details on any of them or the Companies they served in (where recruits were from, etc) it would great. Does anyone know what year pensions were available (if ever) for the War 1812. I don't want to go digging for pension records if was after 1850. Are there abstracts available for the War of 1812 pensions? Judy
